Today's vintage postcard sharing is of a Mesabi Mountain Open Pit Mine, near Virginia Minnesota in the Minnesota Arrowhead Country.
This is a Genuine Curteich Chicago Colortone Postcard number 134D.
Marked on the edge St. Marie's Gopher News Co, Minneapolis Minnesota.
Pictured is a train traveling by the mines. I love postcards that picture trains.
Vintage paper can whisper in our ear. Giving us a glimpse of a time before now. I want to share some of my collection of vintage post cards here. To see other vintage paper items you can visit my other blog.

FRIENDSHIP FRIDAY SHARING MY VINTAGE THANKSGIVING POSTCARDS
Friendship Friday is here again and today I am sharing some of my vintage Thanksgiving postcards. They are all from the early 1900s and picture fat Turkeys and have a feeling of quiet times with family. Today it seems Thanksgiving is all about football and hurry off to shop at the stores.
I think I would rather sit back and have a nice dinner and visit with my family. I can shop another day.
Enjoy a peek into the past with my vintage postcards. They are up for sale on eBay along with a few others.

THURSDAY POSTCARD TRAVELS Piccadilly Circle London England
Today for Thursday Postcard Travels I am sharing another vintage postcard of London England. This one is of Piccadilly Circus which is a busy center of traffic at the intersection of Regent street, whence the wide Shaftesbury Avenue leads to the northeast.
The triangle in the center of the circus is occupied by a memorial fountain to Lord Shaftesbury, which was unveiled in 1893. It is adorned with eight plaques of scenes from the philanthropists life.
Thanks for visiting Thursdays Postcard Travels. Grace
