Traveling The USA With Vintage Postcards New Orleans Court Of Two Sisters Restaurant

Today's post is visiting New Orleans with a vintage post card of  Court of Two Sisters.

Beautiful vintage chrome post card is unposted and offered on eBay at this time.

From as romantic a place as you ever ate in, drunk in or wrote home about.  The famous Court of

Two Sisters is the Historic Center of old New Orleans.

The structure was erected in 1832 on the site of the residence of Sieur Etienne De Perier Governor of

 the French Colonial Period 1725 to 1733.

Huey P Long Bridge New Orleans Louisiana over the Mississippi 1938



What a beautiful vintage 1938 postcard. Features the Huey P Long Bridge, New Orleans Louisiana connecting New Orleans with the Great West . The bridge was erected at a cost of 13,000,000. The total length from the railroad approach to the end is four and one half miles. The channel span over the navigation channel of the river is 790 feet. The longest free bridge in American and one of today's greatest engineering feats. Two auto roadways one on each side which are 18 feet wide. Time in erecting about 3 years.

" Dear Irma We girls only came this far.. going back tomorrow expect to be home Thurs. haven't heard a word from home. Seen and learned a lot. This bridge is beautiful Love Maude
