Today's vintage postcard is of Chicago again. This one is probably from the early 1950's judging by the cars.
This one is of down town Chicago. Looking north on State Street toward intersection of Washington and Randolph streets.
Post card states that here are the two busiest corners of America's second largest city.
I love old post cards they can be great additions to family history. One of my ancestors lived in Chicago back in the 1890's but only stayed a few years. I have visited only once but hope to make it back again some day.
I will be sharing this over at vintage thingies thursday
Thanks for stopping by... hope to see you again here soon... Grace
What a great postcard! I will go back and look at some of your other cards! ♥
ReplyDeleteI have never been to Chicago, but I am sure it has changed tremendously since this time.

ReplyDeleteJust look at those cars! I love seeing postcards that really date a place. Great post. Happy VTT!
ReplyDeleteI went to college in Chicago in the early 1990s. I think they were still using those same green buses! ; )
